How to stop making excuses from working out!

Let’s just get this out in the open. Unless you quit your job and shun your family, there will NEVER be a week, month, or year where nothing will get in the way of you working out, and eating healthy. It’s not easy, and anyone who says it is, is either lying, or has never done it.

Solution: I call it the 3 P’s. Plan, Prioritize, and Persist.


Plan:

Plan for success while acknowledging the challenges. If you’re having trouble finding something healthy to eat while you’re at work, than its best to plan ahead and meal prep. It takes 1-2 hours to batch-cook for a whole week (a small price to pay when you’re trying to eat healthy). If your workouts keep getting interrupted by your busy lifestyle; then do a short 15 minute workout instead, which will get you ready for action, even if it’s just burpees and push ups (I promise if you push yourself through a 15 minute burpee session you’ll feel it).


Prioritize:

If you are serious about losing weight and adopting a healthy lifestyle, than allow yourself the time to do your workouts, and plan your meals beforehand. So when your co-workers are running to grab a burger and a coke at lunch, you’ll be energizing yourself with
a workout, or digging into your own delicious and healthy food.


Persist:

You’re not going to get it right 100% of the time (and that’s ok), but you can be 100% sure that you’ll see ZERO results if you quit
the first time you mess up. The word ‘persist’ by definition means to “continue firmly or obstinately in an opinion or a course of action in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure.” Yes it’s going to be hard, and yes you are going to slip up, but it’s never a reason to quit.
